Born and raised in Dallas, Texas in the 1960’s, Suzanne was inspired by her mother’s musical appreciation and talents. At an early age, Suzanne attended various “live performances”, which captured her imagination, and began her journey toward musicianship. In her teens, she began writing poetry and learned to play the guitar. She studied literature and music at the University of Texas at Austin. After moving to Los Angeles in the early 80’s, Suzanne played in many “original” bands. “Fenix Rising” and “The Union” received radio play on LA’s, KLOS, and KROQ. In the early 90’s she moved to Oregon and was interviewed as the featured Songwriter on Portland’s KBOO. Returning to LA, (’96 to ’98), she produced and recorded her first CD of original songs, “The Standing People”. Suzanne began studying jazz in Portland, Oregon in 1998.
